Running Away From Evil

Running Away From Evil

One night I was sitting in my bed,

I was miserable, lonely, disgusted, and I was craving for a miracle.

I looked at the ceiling with distress and depression,

wondering if God was going to help guide me in the right direction.

I hated myself, I didn’t have much of self-confidence or I couldn’t define myself.

Who am I? Why am I here? Why I’m not like everyone else.

I waited and waited for answers, pleading God to give me peace.

I wasn’t strong or built for this, but the only person that could believe in me was me.

I forced my eyes shut so that I could only see the dark night.

When I opened my eyes again, all I saw was white,

Where is this coming from? What should I do?

When I’m steady trying to run further and further away from you.

One night I was sitting in my bed,

I was so overwhelmed that I couldn’t think about tomorrow, I was raged with underwhelmed.

The night was extremely cold, I needed much more protection, and

I was so uncareful with my actions, it caused much tension.

I just couldn’t take the pressure, laying there knowing I would miss my opportunity,

because I know that one day we would join together again in unity.

Where are you when I need you?

I’m not perfect, but am I the only person that truly believe in me?

I forced my eyes shut so that I could only see the dark night.

When I opened my eyes again, all I saw was white,

Where is this coming from? What should I do?

When I’m steady trying to force my way back to you.

One night I was sitting in my bed,

I was slowly fading away and the pain had took over me.

It hurted so bad that didn’t nobody appear to truly notice me.

I wanted to raise up and quote “May I have one more chance please?”,

but that wasn’t going to solve anything between us.

I couldn’t think about the reasons why I wanted to stay here,

but I knew someone needed me, and needed me fast.

I wasn’t ready to go, no God I wasn’t ready to go!

This time when I forced my eyes shut and I could only see my new home.

When I closed my eyes for the last time, all I saw was black,

I knew this tragedy was over, no hope, just the sign of completion.

I wasn’t worried though, God only gives you so many chances to get your life together.

However, I didn’t agree with his decisions, but now I have no choice but to deal with his.
