Running for Inspiration

Pavement beneath my feet

Wind blowing through my hair

Sweat rolling down my skin

Blood pumping through my veins

Free to go wherever

Free to go my speed

The strength my mind provides me

My body all I need

Its running that inspires me

Never to give up

One foot in front of the other

Push myself even harder

It might cause pain

It might be difficult

But the reward of sticking with it

Worth the struggle every time

When I want to give up

Remember the way it feels

To know I’ve gone the distance

Proved to myself I always can
