Running; my escape

Sometimes I complain about the weather;

It's too cold, too rainy, too snowy, too icy;

But today's run reminded me why running isn't a "whatever",

Every run I realize there's something that surprises me;

The sport of running convinces me every day that there's a chance for escape,

I'll see the world in a different persepctive and acknowledge what I've been through;

Because even though I may not be as fast or efficient of a run or fully in shape,

Wow have I learned so much about who I am and am always remineded why I am to pursue.
