Rushed To Success

I don't have much time

So I hope you don't mind

My mind is quick with lyrics

So a 2 hour deadline

I don't really mind

Poetry is not new to me

Been writing love poems so girls would like me

I write raps to express the emotions surrounding me

Sometimes I feel like I'm channeling a diety

I feel the love/hate realtionship

That most will never get

In today's time because the cultured

Most kids have never met

America is confused because we chose to abuse

Substances instead of fake reporters on the news

Nobody actually investigates

They just wait to be handed papers so they can instigate

Only talking about things that the average man can relate

Yet we wonder why we have fallen in education standards in the scheme of things

This is why the poem is labeled rushed to success

Because of an overactive mind, I am blessed.
