The Sacrifice

He came to the world and died for you

but not before he said he loved you too.

For 40 days all he saw was sand,

yet no one dared to reach out their hand.

He healed the paralyzed and blind

but even then he was left behind.

The truth is what he came here for

so that all who loved him wouldn't close their doors.

All these people will not perish

for all these children he will cherish.

And all those who hopped on the hatred train

will suffer greatly for their slain.

They nailed him to the cross to die

they held him in that sky so high

Forgiveness is what he wanted

for all our hearts is what he hunted.

All the others will be cast to hell

they won't be hearing that savior bell.

For God so loved the world that he

gave his one and only son to die for thee.
