Sacrifice
I am all alone
In this great big world
With nothing to call my own.
Ek-wus!
Save me.
Save Me
From what they call Normal.
What really is Normal?
I do not believe it even
Exists.
Save me from myself;
I am becoming like them,
I am becoming what they expect me to be.
Morphing into them
Instead of freeing myself!
I dream of freedom
But never pursue it!
I try to be
What they call Normal;
To be completely stable throughout life,
To feel no pain,
To feel no passion.
To fit in,
Not stand out
Or be called Unique
Because, in the Normal World,
Unique is just a euphemism of weird,
Crazy.
Crazy?!
I take that as a compliment,
At least I am different
And not Normal,
I would rather live,
Really live,
And be called insane
Than feel nothing.
Those they call insane,
Those that live differently
In a world of their own;
I envy those
And say, “At least they are happy.”
Ek-wus!
I need an Equus.
I need an Equus
To live,
To escape from this routine
Of criticizing
Or be criticized;
Of fixing
Or be fixed;
Of opening up and rearranging
Or suffer the same fate.
All to be like everyone else,
To separate myself from what I really love,
To fit in,
Thinking it will make me happy
Only to be disappointed
In the end
When I come to the realization
That I was never happy.
I never really experienced life as it should be:
To really feel alive
I need to take off this mask
And show my real self,
I know they will not like it,
But is it worth it?
To continue this routine
When I know it makes me sick,
Sacrifice myself for my
Passion!
Ek-wus!
Why do you taunt me?
I admit it;
I do things,
Terrible,
Irreversible,
Things.
I destroy what can never again be created;
Passion!
I have no way of seeing in this dark,
Through this dark tunnel of my future life.
But I do know now
That I am stuck;
For in my mouth
Lies this
Constricting chain
