Sad Bitches Hours

How many times have I cried?

Too many,

How many times have I hate myself

I can't even count.

Have I tried hard enough?

all I see is Bs and Cs

I could easily do better,

I was better.

But having three jobs got me losing sleep

My professors don't know that I hardly eat

Losing my appetite over how much money I need.

I could do better but I feel like I can hardly breathe,

Overthinking every dollar I spend, I have no time to rest.

Prioritizing work over school 'cause I need money,

Then giving up sleep to do homework 'cause school is all I have.

There is no help from Mami and Papi, they actually need my help,

Coming back home, fridge empty,

No water to drink, no bread to eat,

Time to cry again is sad bitches hours.

Schooling is all I have,

Hope some times runs dry,

But, one look at my mom and dad

Is all I need to survive.

I want to be better for both of them,

And schooling can get me there.

Even though I cry and lose sleep at night,

Sad bitch hours will always be

But I will prevail 'cause my dream is to be better,

To live better.

For mom and dad, I promise I will do better.

Sad Bitches Hours will one day be over.
