Sad Songs

Some say it’s “wallowing”,

So believe what you want,

Because my sad songs

Can sometimes hold me tighter

Than anyone else could;

Sometimes they can comfort me

And keep me alive,

And help me through my darkest times;

I can listen and wallow if I need to,

Because sometimes wallowing

Can be the way out.

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
