SAD STORY

it never dawned
night stayed awake
i needed rest.
i needed daylight.
night taunted my spirit
it brewed my heart sour

it never dawned
night hours moved by so slow
i needed peace,
i needed a piece of mind
wouldn't the Almighty lend
a helping hand

it never dawned
it hasn't still
can't make believe out of reality

it never dawned
it never will
I'm a widow!
