The Saddest Word

I think the saddest word is maybe
Maybe I did It
Maybe it was not me
Maybe I will never admit

If I may be a good girl
Maybe I should wait
Maybe this is a cruel world
Maybe it is a little too late

When the sun sets it has to rise
Maybe the sun will never come up again
Maybe your smile is a disguise
Maybe it is a "no" that I see in your eyes.

Maybe.
