A Sadist's Undoing

Behind closed doors and tight lips,
there remain words trying to escape.

Behind locked rooms and sealed hearts,
there lies a secret wishing to break shape.

Behind broken homes and unfulfilled promises,
there hides a soul with a hollow.

Behind shattered jars and deceitful smiles,
there lurks a shadow that could wallow.

Behind empty pots and bruised faces,
there waits a rebel like a storm brewing.

Behind windowless houses and cracked spirits,
there awaits a sadist’s undoing.
