Sadness

My people have left me what am I to do I was once a great leader but now I am through My army has fallen the enemy is near death is upon me it's abundantly clear I tried my best I gave it my all I thought I could win but I hit the brick wall my country is ruined my great empire in flames no one will remember how great was my name I leave this Earth in a most cowardly way I gift upon history, what others might say the winner of battle is the one who writes the books for me I am vanquished so let them write their lies How easy it is to remember excuse me now, I must go and die
