Sadness Strengthens

Sometimes sadness sinks

and we are tested to find our strengths.

The days get cold

and the sun will set

but happiness is a friend

you never forget.

When life takes you down

it's okay to frown.

It's okay not to be happy for awhile

but never okay to fake a smile.

Find peace with sadness

but never be at peace in madness.

Know that you are not broken

and sadness has only spoken.

Remember when sadness sinks in

it is only there to strengthen.
