Saecula Saeculorum

Cogito, ergo sum

An old phrase indeed,

And to a child strange

For to think oneself a tree does not make them a plant.

And as one ages,

Carpe diem

Or else you’ll be passed by.

For time is not your enemy, but is a friend to none.

Old age ripens us;

Makes us wise beyond our years.

Per aspera ad astra

We’ve made our way in life.

And finally after life,

We find ourselves in grace.

For there is no black abyss for saints

Saecula Saeculorum. Amen.
