How do you know if your truly safe 

How do you know if you can really escape

How do we know it will all be okay

When everything we do is really just a phase

Of happiness and sadness coming and going

Not really trying to stay

It’s like everything you know will one day fade away

Even though we can’t live like this 

In constant fear of the unknown

Many people tend to live with regret 

Many people try to run away 

From everything that they can not live with

But how can you hide from yourself

How can you hide from all the hurt

How can you cut out and live without your heart

How can you stray away from the path of sadness

When all they can do is bring it to the surface

Not trying to let you live anything down 

How can you truly know if people hold good intentions

When all you see is tension

Not knowing how you can truly be safe 

With all the bad things people say

Its like they don’t understand

What they truly hurt inside

That you’re a person with feelings 

Which end up dying because of them
