Safe Haven

His eyes, his smile, his laugh.

His fists, the bruises, my past.

My needs and desires are simple and complex,

the need for safety is something I will never forget,

If I could have anything in this universe,

it would be simply making the world safe,

To get through my life,

the most treasured idea to me is make a difference.

Being helpless and deserted is something I wish on no one,

but being kind and compassionate

is something I can't go on without.

I cannot live without trying to help others.

Minnesota born, this is currently my third year of college, going on fourth. I have two younger siblings that I hope will continue on to college, and my favorite dog breed is a golden retriever.
