Safe Haven
One morning, in a room painted in gentle pink.
I awake uncertain of the place, embraced in light.
Pushing open wide an ornate, ancient door,
and walking down a hall to an entrance I see God himself, and He softly says,
“Good morning, my child, let me give you a guided tour.”
He gently opens the door wide, and
with a smile that mirrors the sky with joy,
“This door leads outside,” he softly confides.
As the Heaven's beckon,
where wonder resides.
Further down the streets of gold, I hear a noise.
not of fear, a gentle sound, guiding the way.
A cascading whisper of water where the heart feels pure.
The water tumbles and dances; cool water flows
into a nearby pond, we both savor the taste of the water.
After a while, we strolled back to the mansion Jesus built for me.
God opens the door to a room known only to Him and I
“Your journey’s been long.”
He whispers softly, inviting me to rest.
With a blanket of softness and a bear by my side, He cradles my heart; in Him I confide.
“Come, my child, let your worries cease, in this sacred haven, find your peace.
No harm shall befall you; forever you are free.
For in this embrace, you are loved by Me.”
“Come, my child, no harm will come to you; you are Mine.
