       Darkness surrounding me, everyhing

goes blank, Then a voice gives me strength

as if I was raising from the depths of the sea

and no one could believe, what my eyes see.

I see my guiding lights known as my family,

from mom and dad to brothers to cousins to

aunts and uncles to nephews and nieces.

They are the ones to believe in me while I was

in a pit of self-pity and sadness.

I voice what I say and want my words i write

to be heard for them because they gave me the

one gift no one else really gave me which was hope

strength and belief in my own future. They gave me

the faith to dictate my future and not let the past hold me

down.
