Saga
Read me a story
Never before told
Of exotic foreign lands
A pirate’s treasure trove
Make me up a super hero
Wearing red, white and blue
Douse it with embellishments
And I’ll believe it’s true
Tell me of great warriors
Vikings, thieves and braves
Describe their secret hideaways
In dank and dusky caves
Etch in stone our love story
What you whisper in my ear
As you kiss my pink lips softly
Your fingers tangled in my dark brown hair
Create a gruesome murder mystery
With detectives and gang
Make it hard to figure out
Who made the gun scream “bang”
Compose me a biography
Of a person who never existed
Portray their secret lifestyle
And all the temptations they resisted
Scribble a tale of fantastical creatures
Mermaids, fairies and a dragon
And how as a little boy you’d pretend to be one
When you played in your red wagon
Then write me a novel
With hand drawn pictures too
Write me a novel
One for just me and you
