Sage Brush

Altitude and butterflies

Memories of a kiss goodbye and tears rimming our eyes

Off to an unvisited state

Images of my purpose flash in my mind

A pair of yellow eyes, spiked guard hairs, a bushy tail

Before I know it

The sun is warming my skin

Buffalo run around me

Montana breeze carries the scent of sage brush

Twelve wolves greet each other right before my eyes
