Saint Valentine, Without A Doubt, The Feast Of Love

Saint Valentine is about happiness and love

Not about material stuff and a great deal of money

Sweet honey. It is not about being sorely greedy

It is about the colorful birds hovering above

Enjoying the blue sky and flying among the clouds

It is about the rainbow angels wearing smiley shrouds

Saint Valentine is about gorgeous flowers

And happy songs. It is not about splinters

Hidden in the dirty streets of one’s mind

Saint Valentine is about being nice and kind

For the rest of one’s life

It’s about an enchanting wife

A respectable and charming spouse

It is about a sincere friend

Sharing a laugh, extending a hand

Or touching elbows

And ignoring the nutty foes

It’s about a decent and cozy house

Not a mansion that nobody can afford

Saint Valentine is about being blessed by the Lord

Valentine’s Day is about love, civility, joy and fun

It’s about strolling on the sandy beach in the sun

It’s a Sunday every time it is Valentine’s Day

Today let our hearts rejoice in peace and fly away

Like the beautiful birds on the branches of the tree

Let’s pray, sing, dance, imagine, reminisce and dream

And enjoy a few scoops of a fruity ice-cream

Let’s fall in love again and again; and be absolutely happy.
