Sakura

Blooming flowers red and white

Petals dancing in the morning light

Beautiful ballet in the wind

Twirl about till they land

Sitting down to rest

In the shade, for a picnic is best

What exquisite scenery

As a lonely petal slides into the tea

You watch them all run about

Unable to imagine a world without

These glittering white and red

Which cover the ground to form a soft bed

Some search for the perfect bloom

As a bride looks for her groom

A scent so sweet

To knock a person off his feet

When all are gone

The branches are born for the snow to fall upon

Yet frozen and bear

Its beauty is no less fair

A true wonder of the East

A cherished fruit never to cease

Those lovely pitted twins

Surely a sweet temple at the flowery ends
