Sakura Tree

Dear Luis,

My time spent with you made me feel free

Our relationship bloomed like the flowers of a sakura tree

Each flower looking so beautiful and plentiful in life

Seeing our beauty made me feel hopeful for even the future strife I may encounter

However, overtime I notice that our tree is withering

And I was wondering if you have been considering on restoring it back to life

But it seemed like you have moved onto planting another tree with someone else

A sight in which made me melt into sadness

I cannot blame you entirely because I stood there in silence

By remembering your kindness, I thought you would return

I should have done something to save our tree

But all I did was flee from seeing its dire state

Time has passed and I have learned new things

The strings that binded me to the past are cut

I have planted a new tree

A new sakura tree that makes me feel free again

This tree is a symbol of my growth

And it is my oath that I maintain it for myself

I wish you good luck and hope your tree grows into something beautiful too

Sincerely,

Miguel
