Salt

I want to take your hand and guide it away from your pain

I will scrape across the rocks to guide you ashore

To a familiar harbor

Where all cries are merely echoes from the breeze

And the tears are droplets spaying from the salt

Easing your aches and cleansing your cuts

You may remember the pain but I will help to cease your fears

When you're ready you can sail once more

With scars to remind you

But no more pain
