Salt Water Queen
(Authers note: this poem was inspired by the song
"Salt Water Queen" by The Battle of Land and Sea)
salt water queen
hair of green
sand soft and hard
water cool and warm
legs of a tale
with shiny scales
voice for sailors
salty air
voices call to sea
women they be
Sailors perish
the voices they cherish
davy jones awaits
their wives at the wake
lovley white bones
no pain no moans
fish eat thier flesh
mermaids refresh
