Salvador Dalí

Art beyond bowls of fruit.

People and faces twisted like the roots

Of trees and from swans

With redefined anatomy spawns

New life from an egg

And animals with long legs.

Art beyond vases of flowers.

Creating elephants like towers

And windmills with butterflies.

Images that create lies,

And illusions, and escapes

From reality and forms dreamscapes.

Paintings of clocks melting,

And other objects stretching

Across an endless desert

With animals that convert

Into instruments.

The rising of new mutations

Of animals, humans, and interpretation

That inspires artists beyond his generation.
