Salvation at the end of a Bottle
Salvation at the end of a bottle.
It calls him every morning, evening, and nigh.
To heel from his past, he drowns his future
Toxic to his body he feels better because the physical damage does not compare to the metal battle.
He can’t see the lovers drifting like ice in the ocean away from him and he’ll never understand.
He stumbles and falls and is so clouded by his defeat he doesn’t reach for the hand stretched to help him back up.
Mask the pain with laughter mask the fear with aggression mask the failure with this potion you have turned to for an answer
You’ve strayed so far I feel you’ve lost your way and it’s time to come back.
I keep waiting for that day. No I can’t be your savior I learned that the hard way
