Sam,

You shine as A constant light In a world of variable Darkness. The northern pole In which the needle Of my compass Leads me. You, The flower that Neither wilts Nor dies, You are the bones In my legs That support My every step And never let My muscles fail me. Every Battle I fight, You’re the shield to my sword, Creating the Offensive protection Watching over me. You, nearly shape-shifting, Play and adapt to many roles for me, And for that, My love, I thank you. But, Being my best friend Forevermore Is the best role You can be.
