For a Sam

Love rains from your sunshine eyes,

Happy

Beautiful

Wonderful.

I cup my hands,

Love flooding over

Seeping through the cracks of my soul.

Warmth of your arms

When I can't keep it all in.

Love from my eyes

Is not sad,

It's trusting,

Trusting you.

Trusting your hands and feet,

Your eyes on the tail lights,

The passing yellow stripes.

Trusting your words,

Coxing Love from my eyes,

The trust from my heart.

Words make it all okay,

Even when they shouldn't.

You mend the cracks in me

With love in your eyes

And trust in your words.

Love is trusting you.

And me.

Trusting me

To keep sunshine in your eyes,

Fill your cracks

And not make new ones.

Trusting me to not break

You

or me.

It's hard

And it's natural

And I know

It will be okay

Because I love you.
