Same

I am the same. I was born the same, walked the same, and saw the same skies I look to you and see we are the same You look to me and your eyes are filled with shame Ridicule, fear, and unpleasant memories I am strong. I will banish those feelings We are the same except now I am understood I found my light and followed it It led me away from you, my one and only brother You see shame I see light We are no longer the same
