The Same

If you closed your eyes Would you know who I am? If you closed your eyes Would you see who I am? Is it possible To see who I truly am With your eyes closed When you can't really see me With your eyes open. Close your eyes And open your mind. See below the surface Think beyond your limits If you cut me open I bleed the same blood. If you listen closely You will hear my heart Beating the same rhythm That yours beats. Take away the colors The shades, the hues And bare your soul for all to see And we will be The same.
