Same Love

We live in a world that is filled with hatred

Against those who fight to keep love sacred

But maybe if we look, beyond what has shifted

We can come to terms with why we are all gifted

We have our faith, our notions, and our belief

But our hatred has caused them only to grief

We condemn them for how they choose to love

We cast them aside from laws from above

Love is not tangible, but we all feel it

But because they are both man, it is split

Until each state has acknowledged them truly

This country will be a lie and unruly

Freedom is our right, something we cherish

But why is their love the only thing anguished

They don't love any less, they love like we do

Maybe if we give them a chance, we'll see it too.
