The same road
I wish i could be flying, but no I'm driving
Trying to reach my destination but I just cannot
I try to switch lanes but I am stopped by a cop
Every light I pass is green, because police brutality goes on
No red lights because the injustice just won't stop
Even if I see a red one, I still have no faith.
My foot is strapped to the pedal and I have no brakes
It's like they exercising us but we get no breaks
They like to kick us when we down especially in the face.
You see
I'm on the road of life
But the road of life is more like a roll of dice
Is it worth it?
People tryna crash into me on purpose
We're all just single grains inside of a bowl if rice
This bowl is getting so light my future ain't looking bright.
Because there's only a few more grains left
They used up all of our happiness there's only pain left.
My odds are getting smaller and smaller
Climbing the mountain of justice but it's getting taller and taller
They'll murder anyone, young or old
They killed Tamir Rice he was 12 years old.
Now his momma gotta live with losing a son
In my opinion these cops should really be losing they guns
Just imagine how many tears she cried.
Imagine how choked up she got when she found out he died.
Imagine how much she wanted to die herself.
She probably thought it was lie
Warm tears fall down the cold face now she got blurry eyes.
She can't see she can't breathe
She's stuck here she can't leave
She's driving around hopelessly.
On the same road as me...
