sammy
sitting on the sidelines as my friends played ball
pulling turf with my two hands
they didn’t look at me at all
sammy always understood me
he sat by my side
as i thought about how one day i’ll be free
as we approach the end of fall
i know sammy has to go soon
it’s my fault, but we can always call
