Sanctuary

Trying to escape towrad the grey clouds        Not listening to the chirpings of the crows         And buzzards         But feeling their exquisite beauty                           Witnessing the breath of the carved marble         That allowed rotting thorns      And decrepit peddles       To dance peacefully in a child's innocence                       Resting near the beaten cold stone         Blankets of mud lull many to sleep               As I let go
