Sand (part 2)

A million years from now,

will my footprints still remain,

on these lonely sands?

Can’t wash away,

these feelings nor memories.

Ingrained in the rocks

wedged between the crevices

of our hearts.

Belief and power and all

those trivial things,

Where do they go,

when you leave to follow

the Siren’s song?

Softly, softly, in your ear.

Below still, these rocks,

wait patiently for you.

Quietly, quietly,

I wish for their melodies

to carry me away.
