Sane or Insane?

You walk by people every day You hear their problems and feelings So mundane, so normal Inside you are screaming Not in pain but in fear Not of others but of yourself You know something is wrong, but you are afraid Afraid to admit what you already know Afraid to draw attention to yourself, in the chance that everyone else will notice That you aren’t okay, the furthest thing from it Inside you are screaming Screaming for help For someone to save you from yourself On the outside you seem so normal, happy even But you know the truth You are insane, and you fear it will be the death of you That someday the screams will consume you You will tumble into the darkest recesses of your mind and never escape You fear this and yet you are now calm Because you have accepted your fate After all, isn’t everybody just a little crazy?
