Sanity

I write for my bones, For the pain that sings out in the night, When everything is falling The words create light. I write for my heart, The poor shattered little thing. I write the pretty words, So that maybe it will sing. I write for love, The one hope I won't find. That maybe my words Could make their hearts blind. But mostly I write for the hope in my soul The part that keeps beating, no matter the pain. I get lost in the words They keep my life sane
