Sanity

I am in your thoughts

I am running through your veins

When no one is around

I'm speaking in your brain

I sit aside and watch

In silence I observe

The ticking of a clock

Seems to go fast around the curve

When darkness falls again

At night I cannot breathe

The demons that I fight

Take away what I really need

I sit and watch the sun

As it shines under the trees

It rises with my spirit

As I stand still in the breeze

This is all I have

But what more could I bring

When I am all alone

I still have my sanity
