Sanity

Silent.

Only buzzing above, soft crinkles below.

Days roll by

The silence, deafening.

My words carry out, stretching on for miles and miles

Yet no one hears

Piece by piece

Little by little

Second by second

I drift away.

A small portion of Me is lost

Every. Single. Day.

I need it.

I beg and plead for it

It's lost too.

I cannot remember things anymore

Where I'm from, how old I am, my wife, my name?

Gone. All gone.

I give in to the voices

And I'm no longer me

I've lost all my Sanity

Without it,

I'm just an empty shell

Laughing into the darkness.
