Santa Ana

Santa Ana

As I grew up, I fell in love with her

When I need her the most she’s always there

At night she lights up, that’s what I prefer

She is like no other, no one can compare

She is a mother to those without one

A companion to those feeling lonely

She is gorgeous when the moon is up and the sun

She is my home, she’s my one and only

Like baby chicks, all must fly on their own

My time to explore the world is coming

She’s with me in heart, I’m never alone

Her love is making me the man I’m becoming

I will repay her, her time is coming

I will come back home to her, my homecoming

Coming from a poverty filled city, I was raised with it all and learned to love and see the beauty of it all.
