satellites & silhouettes

time will never go fast enough

till it is moving faster than you want

our shadows will grow and shrink

a million times, it seems

and so many days have gone by

since the last time

your silhouette has found itself

combined with mine

I will never leave this planet

if I never leave this room

I might fade away

before I ever reach the moon

I could take you on my spaceship

it looks like there's room for two

just know that when I smile,

it is probably about you

and I know that consistency can be found,

but you feel awful when you're tied down

so lift your feet off of the ground

and drift away

from

me
