Satire

Satire

Proverbs 16:19

“Better to be lowly in Spirit among the oppressed

than to share plunder with the proud”

In our search for self determination

and to manage ourselves by voter’s bliss,

is a disguised anointed simple citation

written by powers the country can’t miss

As the rate responsibilities are changing

and the jobs of importance direct the way

These jobs are surely grabbed by people,

who in the past wished responsibility away

They have so many people who are so active

According to the world’s point of view

That more should be hired to lessen

the burden at expense of me and you.

Now they are taking our jobs as expenses

and we are just to be drained to the core

Is it too late to mend any traditional fences,

which are flattened, draining our hope.

Clawing and tearing our flesh to the bone

It’s too late for crying in patience

Conditions in the world beyond our control

just in time to smell decaying fragrance

They first took a finger, now where is my hand?

My arm I can’t find it, no more legs to stand

There is not too much left, like it or not

I hope for compassion as I boil in a pot.
