The Satisfaction of Silence.
He roared like a lion
He lunged at his prey.
He attacked.
He broke her down.
He roared again.
He kept on roaring.
The beast was satisfied with the silence.
The beast was content with the puddle of defeat on the floor.
There were sobs.
There were cries into the void.
There was nothing left.
"You don't get it, you don't understand."
BOOM!
The pain spread across her face.
Tears poured through her eyes like a stream.
Face in her hands, she accepted- no- she embraced defeat.
The beast was satisfied with the silence.
The beast was content with the puddle of defeat on the floor.
There were sobs.
There were cries into the void.
There was nothing left.
BOOM!
The little girl heard from the other side.
She was confused.
She opened the door.
The woman was consumed into a puddle of tears.
"Are you okay?"
The simple question.
"Yes, honey. Go back in there and close the door."
The simple answer.
The child retreated.
Her instincts suggested otherwise.
She couldn't do anything.
She was just a kid.
The beast was satisfied with the silence.
The beast was content with the puddle of defeat on the floor.
There were sobs.
There were cries into the void.
There was nothing left.
