Savages

We the people are savages Making decisions without thinking them through, just to ravage our minds but in life their are no undo's Who are we all to eachother? We're strangers but yet we all live with one another Good or bad we all came from a mother Lock our doors up tight and sound the alarm For even the most sick and twisted can radiate with charm the devil watching under you, taking you under his broken wings Detecting and selecting those who cause us harm Lock your doors up tight and sound the alarm Karma is a beautiful thing, still our minds will be ravaged Karma is a horrible thing but it's the rule of life's schematics A repetition of our history, We the people are savages So many different faces So many similar emotions To good or to evil do we give our devotion There is no special potion No spells or hypnotizing clocks So what makes someone as soft as a feather as sweet as candy as hard as a rock as twisted as a branch in a tree or as disturbing as our government Our parents Our parents taught us to say thank you and please kissing our boo boo's Loving us unconditionally Who kicked us out of the house Who drove drunk with us in the car Who were ashamed of our existence Leaving us with scars With each word and each fistl We can all check at least one of the list Our parents who taught us to lock our doors up tight and sound the alarm They hold the power to create us or deteriorate us God gave us a free will so it's out of his hands It is put into our parents hands Will they use them to teach us what's wrong, right, and fair? Will they use them to tuck in their children and hug them goodnight? or use them to abuse and put out their bright light The sweetest face of innocence, a beautiful mind that will surely be ravaged A repetition of our history, we the people are savages.
