Saved by the Devil

Beaten, battered and sore
She felt the pain once more
A simple smack
To keep her intrack
A grab by the throat
As she ran for her coat
Her body slams to the ground
No hope she has found
No light is around
Darkness is all that surrounds
The light in her eyes listens out
All she has left is doubt
Her eyes go black, she cannot see
But a voice says to her "come with me, we hear your plea"
And so she let go and finally gave in
His hand she took, as warm as gin
All black he was, with big red eyes
The man she was taught to always despise
A loving grip, a simple kiss
For once in her life, she felt bliss

My poems reflect the feelings I had during my abusive relationship, where I was held against my will and abused. The feelings are raw and real.
