Saved By Grace
From the beginning, The feeling was never ending. A very average girl, with hideous tight curls. Having constant negative thoughts, I was so distraught. I could never say good things about myself, I became damaged, and ruined my mental health. I was so afraid of failing, that I knew I would end up bailing. Responsibilities ignored, I would rather stay bored. Depression coming over me, I knew there was no way to flee. I constantly felt like the world was against me, broken hearted and lost indeed. My parents constantly telling me, it wasn’t healthy for me to feel that way. I knew those people were never there to stay. None of this mattered to me because all I knew was the sadness I felt. I knelt down and gave in to the depression I felt. When I was 15 I started high school at Wiregrass Ranch High school. It was hard to transform into the person I wanted to become. It took many almost 3 years before I really realized my opinion of myself was the only one that truly mattered. My relationship with God has become so much stronger, and I feel like that relationship in itself has made me a stronger woman. When I am at my church I feel a sensation come over me, I feel safe and I feel like I have the power to overcome any sadness that I’ve been feeling. It is such an amazing feeling to me and I have been trying very hard lately to be sure my relationship with God only grows stronger because it is the most powerful medicine to me.
I was the shy girl who sat alone if her friends weren’t around. I was the girl who was extremely skinny and cried way too much. I was the girl who smiled so often, but never felt what it was like to be happy. Now, I am the woman who is succeeding in school. I am the woman who has worked extremely hard throughout high school. I am the woman who talks to God in time of need or happiness. I am the woman who I have always wanted to be, and I will not give up until I have reached my goals and above. I learned the most important lesson, it is never too late. I now know the truth I have been SAVED BY GRACE.
