Savior

Walking on the beach, sand between my toes. Wondering when I’ll be found, only God knows. Resting on banana leaves, fishing with a stick. I no longer hear my watch go tick – tick – tick. Stranded – destitute - left here to die. No one would understand the peace I know. It’s inside me, the lover – provider – maker of my soul. Guiding my steps, keeping me at peace. Providing me with comfort, when I should not know ease. My Lord – Redeemer – Savior – King. The One I cannot live without. As long as He’s by my side, there is no doubt. Rescue with come. Teams will be sent. They’ll tell me to board their boat, and I won’t say, “No.” To rest in my bed. Toil no more. I will make it home. Very soon, I’ll be ready to go!
