Savior

What does poetry mean to me? It means the world. No matter what life decides to hurl, it holds me strong. The rhythm and feel, the steady flow, it's hard to tell where it’ll go, but you’ll never be disappointed, that I know. I heard a poem not long ago, by no other than Mr. Edgar Allen Poe. Where he goes to tell about he and his love the late Annabelle Lee. My favorite part about the angels and envy, only go to remind me about my story. My mother's life, short and sweet I see her when I go to sleep. And even when I count the sheep, it makes me start to weep. But the words I write when I’m down, move the hearts of those around To hear the hurt and desperate sounds of a lost child. Poetry pulled me from the depths of shame, when the shadows threaten to maim and destroy me as if a game. Its powerful lines hypnotize and surprise me all the same. So what does poetry mean to me? It means the chance to be free and express what I see. To guide me to find the key to Challenging myself artistically.
