Savior

Location

Life is hard,

it is a battlefield.

I’ve had cannons balls thrown at me,

but I kept going

wanting to make my family proud

wanting to be independent.

I hit a couple of dead ends and steep mountains,

but I know my blessing is on its way.

I pray to God; Jesus Christ,

“Deliver me from all my troubles,

lead me the right way!”

I wait and follow him patiently,

knowing if I disobey

I will end up in No Man’s Land

with the devil grabbing me from God’s hands.

I repent and say I’m sorry

with God’s same reply each time

“I love you and forgive you.

Nothing can keep you from my arms

neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,

neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

neither height nor depth, nor anything in all creation.”
